Some kitchen designers are beginning to use two finishes on cabinets. This is actually something a lot of older kitchens used to do, as they were often cobbled together out of whatever resources they could easily find. It’s back in style however, and when done intentionally and sparingly, using two different finishes on a cabinet is a great way to add a bit of contrast to your kitchen design.
Customized Backsplashes
It’s easier than ever to create your own personalized tiles that can be used for a completely custom backsplash. There are many online tools out there where you can select from different patterns, designs, and colors and create your own tiles, completely unique to you.
Looking to Minimalism
2018, like 2017, will be a year marked by looking to minimalism in our kitchen design approach. That means clearing space out, making sure every appliance has its purpose, and keeping things from being too flashy.
