Wine Cellars

Beyond our kitchen and bathroom cabinetry and countertop options, SureWood Fine Cabinetry is proud to offer beautiful high-quality wine cellars to our valued customers. If you are an experienced wine drinker or collector, you know that properly preserving your wine is critical to keeping it in excellent drinkable condition. Whether you want to invest in a wine cellar for the love of wine or as a practical way to add value to your home, we have beautiful options for you.

Things to Consider

Several factors are important when it comes to properly preserving wine, including the following:

Design

Wine cellars can be built using a huge variety of designs, if you want tall and thin columns of wine, triangular bins to place wine in, or scalloped bottle holders. We can even incorporate drawers into the design to hold pricier bottes or ones that need a little extra TLC in temperature or humidity-controlled doors. Design also encompasses your personal style. Did you fall in love with wine on a trip to Italy and want a gorgeous old world style wine cellar? Do you want a sleek and modern way to display your favorite hobby? Or, do you just want a cool new room to display and enjoy your wine in? SureWood Fine Cabinetry can design and build any of these styles.

Construction

Partnering with an experienced and professional company who understands the value of wine collecting is the most important first step. SureWood Fine Cabinetry has years of experience in constructing gorgeous wine cellars. We will walk your home with you to see what space you have available and come up with a design to match your vision. We can help you properly insulate your room and install temperature and humidity controls to optimally age your wine. We can help you assess your current wine collection (and take into account your optimal wine collection) to make a wine cellar that has the appropriate amount of racking, number of cubicles, number of shelves, or any combination of the above.

Temperature Control

57 degrees is the optimal temperature for wine to develop complex flavors and age gracefully over time. Keeping your wine collection out in the open can lead to issues, as changes in temperature and humidity cause the corks to expand and contract over time. Once air enters the bottle, the oxidation process begins, and the wine you saved for five years might be undrinkable.

We use a wide variety of woods to give you the perfect wine cellar for your home and style including:

  • Zebra Wood
  • Rustic Beech
  • Cherry
